says... Influenza (also called "the flu") is a
viral infection in the nose, throat and lungs. About 10% to 20%
of Americans get the flu each year. Some people get very sick.
Each year, about 130,000 people go to a hospital with the flu,
and 20,000 people die because of the flu and complications.

Research/ Publications/ Teaching:
Former Chairman of the Delaware Mid-Atlantic Cancer Research Task
Force, founded in April, 1998. The task force incorporated support
from local physicians and nurses, the American Cancer Society, State
of Delaware Agencies including the Department of Health, State Epidemiologist,
State Medical Examiners office, and State Tumor Registry. The Task
force was planning a $3+ million dollar proposal to the State of Delaware
for a 5 year comprehensive project that would have geographically
mapped out a decade of cancer occurrence in the State of Delaware
in order to analyze environmental and genetic factors.
Occuloplastic Investigation into "The Effectiveness of Lyophylized
Human Facia Lata and Preserved Human Dura as Tarsal Substitutes in
